Je suis retournée, et je suis ici pour rester.

I wasn't looking forward to returning to Jefferson City, Tennessee as much as everyone else. This summer was wonderful. Erik is perfect, and Nicole became a fabulous friend of mine. I wasn't ready to leave that behind yet.

As I got closer and closer on my drive here, my excitement grew. I realized how much I'd missed this place, and how much I'd grown to love it in the past year. When I got here, I couldn't contain my excitement. During our first dinner together, all of our friends reunited again, I was telling everyone how excited I was to be back with all of my friends again, and my eyes got wet. I tried to hide it, but a tear slipped out without my consent.

As crappy as some of the facilities are, and as gross as the food may be, and as silly as some of the rules are, I love Carson-Newman. Indiana will always be home, but this is a very close second. I've been talking about transferring to another school, in a bigger city, since my second month in college. I decided early that this wasn't the place for me. But after some time, I realized that maybe it is. Right now, I can't imagine being anywhere else.

I'm back, kids. And I'm here to stay.
